Mimecast for Outlook
Grimshaw IT team use the Mimecast platform for Email security, archiving and monitoring.
Grimshaw users are also able to make use of personal Mimecast to view their older archived emails within their inbox.
These older and archived emails are difficult to search through within Outlook and is easier within the Mimecast for Outlook plugin.
The plugin will also give you the ability release emails that have been sent to you, block and report emails that have been sent to you as well.
Enable Mimecast for Outlook
Please check that you have the Mimecast for Outlook add in enabled first of all.
Do the following if you find that the Mimecast add in isn't enabled.
1. Within Outlook, Click on 'File'
2. Then 'Options'
3. Then click on 'Add-Ins'
4. Now click on 'Go' besides the 'Manage' button.

5. Ensure that the Mimecast for Outlook add in is ticked.

6. Click on 'OK' to come out of the above menu.
You should now see 'Mimecast' within the header bar on Outlook.

How to use Mimecast for Outlook

SEARCH EMAILS
Click on 'Search' in image above, this opens a Mimecast for Outlook window.

Within image above, you can specify dates, sender of email, subject and more to refine your search.
You're able to go back to the beginning of when you have joined the business to search for emails.
ON HOLD MESSAGES
Within the Mimecast for Outlook client, you can check for your emails that have been held and need to be reviewed by you before releasing.

If you click on 'On Hold Messages' as shown in image above, this opens another windows which shows all your held emails.

You're then able to 'Release' or 'Reject' if it's genuine or not.
PHISHING EMAILS/BLOCK SENDERS
If you've received a phishing email attempt, you can select the email and then block the sender using the 'Blocked Senders' button or the 'Report Phishing'
option.
