This booth is a 4 seater "Bring Your Own Device" (BYOD) collaborative space containing a 34" screen with integrated camera, mic & speakers. You can charge your phones & connect your laptop directly to the booth tech using the under table pull out draw for use with any conferencing solution, screen sharing & collaboration.

What type of space is this? A collaboration Booth. This space should be used for collaborative session only: ideally for no longer than an hour and not a replacement for a working desk area.

How do I book the room? This is an ad-hoc collaborative space and not bookable by design.

How do I join a conference call? You can join any type of conference from your laptop with the conference solution of your choice

Power and Connectivity BYOD

How do I connect my laptop to booth's camera, mic and speakers? There is a small pull out tray under the desk in the outermost right hand corner of the booth for connecting to the integrated AV from your laptop. This tray contains 3 cables labelled; Power, Content and BYOD. The cables serve these functions:
1. Power - This typically gets inserted into the top left hand USBc port of your laptop and charges up your battery whilst in a call.
2. Content - Provide content share functionality via the USBc or HDMI ports.
3. BYOD - Provide camera, mic, speaker functionality via the USBc or USBa ports when in BYOD mode
How do I use Teams for the first time in BYOD mode? As with all conference apps you will have to select the devices you have available to use as you would at home. When joining a Teams meet select Jabra Panacast 50 for your Audio & Speakers & Camera. Once selected your laptop will remember for next time
Can i zoom the camera in/out when in BYOD mode? No unfortunately laptop conference app's such as Teams & Zoom do facilitate camera control beyond selecting your preferred camera
Can I charge my phone from the booth? Yes, providing you have a charging cable that can go into a USBa or USBc port within the under desk pull out tray.

Camera

How is the camera set? The camera will default to a set position that shows all participants around the table.
Can I change the camera view? No: The booths camera is set to view the whole table although you can use Zoom or Teams in gallery view

Audio

How do I control the volume? Volume is controlled from your laptop as in any other Zoom or Teams call
